*"It should not be shocking if 25 per cent of the population commits suicide in 50 years from now," said Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder, Isha Foundation.*

He was in conversation with Vinita Bali, CEO of Britannia Industries, at Sophia High School in the City on Saturday.

"To a great extent, the same could be attributed to a false sense of knowing," he said.
"Unlike in our generation, children as young as 15 are already bored of their lives because they have seen cosmos through their phone screens."

It was the witty replies of Sadhguru putting Bali in a fix that had the audience glued to their seats. For someone who expected the conversation to be bordering on spirituality, it came as a pleasant surprise with the reply for the first question.

The conversation began on a light yet thought-provoking note. On being asked what was the next step for Sadhguru, "Dinner after this," came the immediate reply. Bali was quick to say that a more profound reply was sought for. Throwing light on what he had said, Sadhguru added, "For someone who eats one meal a day, it is certainly profound."

The mystic said that considering the experience the country has had for over 12,000 years in the field of agriculture, hunger could be addressed easily. "People are hungry because of apathy; if we are determined, we can overcome this in five years' time," he added.

Speaking elaborately about "well-being", he said no matter how many years pass by, the search for well-being would go on. "We are trying to rip the world apart in the name of well-being," he said. Sadhguru added that by including others as a part of one's self and by increasing efficiency, well-being could be attempted.

The mystic also chose to quote real-life examples while speaking about bliss and ecstasy. On pursuing happiness and well-being, he remarked, "Traffic gives one the luxury of sitting on one's dream machine for long." Reported by Deccan Herald 21 hours ago.
