*Block Education Officer of South Range-1 K Prakash visited Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) at Kanakapura on Saturday following an incident of inappropriate behaviour of a teacher reported on the premises of the school.*
The Vidya Mandir was remained shut on the day due to a policy of the school to remain closed on last Saturday of every month. School authorities, however, visited the BEOs office later to give a status update.
BEO K Prakash said that a thorough inquiry will be conducted on the matter in consultation with officials.
The teacher in question, a physical instructor in the school, was sent on a 'long leave' according to the school. This incident comes on the heel of the rape of a minor girl by a skating instructor at Vibgyor High school at Marathalli. Reported by Deccan Herald 8 hours ago.
