*The student who has secured the highest aggregate score in the II PU exams this year is all set to pursue Chartered Accountancy. K A Ramyashree from Vijaya College, RV Road, has scored 596 out of 600 marks. *

She secured a perfect score of 100 in five subjects - Accounts, Business Studies, Statistics, Maths and Sanskrit and 96 in English. Ramyashree attributed her success to consistent preparation throughout the year.

"My main focus while studying was to understand the concepts and I did it consistently throughout the year," she told Deccan Herald. While her father, Ananth Kumar works in BEML, her mother Gowri M P is a homemaker.

Their only daughter, Ramyashree, now wants to do her Chartered Accountancy (CA) and will be enrolling for BCom and simultaneously preparing towards her goal.

"Ramya has always been a consistent student who did not need much help in her studies. We are very excited that she has done so well," her mother said.

Topping the Science stream with two other students is Vasudha D, a student of Sadvidya Composite PU College, Mysore.

She has scored 594 out of 600 with 100 in Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Sanskrit, 99 in Physics and 95 in English.

An elated Vasudha said, "I dedicated two years to prepare for the exam and it has paid off."
Not one who believed in putting in mindless hours of studying, Vasudha preferred to study smartly and with dedication.

"I studied keeping quality in mind rather than the quantity or the hours spent. I would diligently study three to four hours every day and in the days just before the exam, I would study almost the whole day," said Vasudha.

Although having performed remarkably in the exam, she is still undecided on her future course of action.

"Although I am interested in biology and would like to take up medicine, I am still unsure and waiting for the CET results," she said.

The other Science topper Priyathosh Lokesh, a student of Sarvodaya PU College, Tumkur, aims to be a doctor.

That has been his only dream since high school. His father Lokesh K is a history lecturer and his mother Kavitha Lokesh is a housewife.

"I prepared from NCERT books. I also took online coaching from BASE tutorials," he said. Priyathosh has written the Manipal College entrance too, for medicine. He hopes to get through to Bangalore Medical College. Reported by Deccan Herald 2 hours ago.
