Last year, 71 schools had recorded 100% results.
Among the 35 schools, eight are government schools, two are aided and 25 are unaided ones. Speaking to mediapersons, DDPI Diwakar Shetty said the district has recorded better overall performance with 89.52% respectively.
He said a total of 1,532 students and 3,204 students have secured A and A+ Grades respectively. Only 257 students are under 'C' grade category. Last year, nearly 50% of the students were under C and C+ category, he added.
Out of the total 14,880 students who appeared for the examination, 13,321 students have cleared. Notice would be served to schools which have recorded 40% results, he said.
Out of 6,871 students who appeared from government schools, 5,985 have passed the examination with a pass percentage of 87.10%. In aided schools, the percentage of passing is 89.07. Out of 4,403 students appeared for the examination, 3,922 have cleared. In unaided schools, the percentage of passing is 94.86%. As many as 3,620 out of 3,816 have passed. The passing percentage according to education zone is Brahmavar recorded 90.63%, Kundapur recorded 90.28%, Udupi recorded 90.17%, Karkala recorded 88.15% and Byndoor recorded 87.84%.
