*Lake turns dumping yard*
We are living in Karnataka Power Corporation Layout, Kasavanahalli, off Sarjapura Road. The Junnasandra Lake, located adjacent to our layout, is becoming a dumping yard for garbage. People from the neighbouring areas, malls, restaurants and eateries are dumping trash here. The foul smell emanating from this dumping yard is umberable and people living in the locality are not able to open the doors and windows in their homes. It is becoming a serious health hazardous for the residents. Irequest the BBMP corporator to look into the issue.

*Civic problems*
There are several civic issues that are causing problems at Gundappa Badavane in Laggere. Some of the problems are: Dumping of trash, open defecation, soiling by pet dogs on streets the during day and night, among other issues.
We request the BBMP authorities to address these issues.

*Open drain near school*
There is an open drain near the Saint Mount Mary Primary and High school in ward 185. The open drain is attracting a lot of snakes, making it very unsafe for both parents and students in the area. We request the BBMP divisional officers in ward 185 to look into this issue and close the drain as soon as possible.

The street lights in JP Nagar 1 Phase and in 11th Cross, 29 th Main are not switched off before 6: 50 am. On November 11, the lights were kept on even at 7:10 am. The authorities concerned are requested to ensure that the lights are switched off on time. The Energy minister has issued instructions that street lights should be switched off by 6 am. This is a blatant violation of rules.

*Unsafe sidewalks *
There are heaps of garbage and non-functional pedestrian sidewalks in may parts of the City. The sidewalks are covered with granite slabs, making it very unsafe for people to walk, especially senior citizens. The open trenches make the situation worse. Besides, the trenches are often clogged with debris and has become a breeding place for mosquitoes.
In many developed countries, rain water is conveyed through concrete or pvc pipes laid in trenches (pretty much like sanitary sewers) and the trench is paved with concrete to provide a smooth surface for people to walk on. Catch basins with a sump to collect debris will be located every 300 inches or so and the entry of rain water will be through the catch basins.
The present open trench system can be back fitted to accommodate the new system

*Bad roads*
The roads in Vijnananagar, New Thippasandra, are in a pathetic condition. The situation has been the same for the last two years. Will our peoples representative or the corporation take any
action?
