The kidnapping and brutal murder of eight-year-old Franshela Vaz, a student of New Horizon High School, Airoli, has resulted in principals and teachers in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai asking parents to be more vigilant and careful when it comes to their children’s safety. Although many schools have a safety programme in place, this incident has prompted many of them to review their safety directives.
