The devotees, after taking a holy dip in Netravathi River, will have a darshanam of the presiding deity Lord Shri Manjunathaswami. Meanwhile, the devotees seek the blessings of Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and later, receive prasadam in Annapoorna Bhojanalaya and return to their places with a contented mind.
Late Manjaiah Heggade, the then Dharmadhikari of the temple, laid a milestone in the history of the temple, by starting all religion convention and literary convention in 1933, during Lakshadeepotsava, and the tradition is followed till now. Every year, during Lakshadeepotsava, renowned scholars, litterateurs and artists feel privileged to be the part of the conventions.The Lakshadeepotsava programmes will be held from November 28 to December 3. Minister for Law T B Jayachandra will inaugurate the All religion convention on December 1, Kuvempu University former Vice Chancellor Dr K Chidananda Gowda will inaugurate the literary convention on December 2.
